The other day I was having a pint at my favourite little pub in Halifax, the Henry House. As I stepped outside I saw a view from the side of the building down the road and it gave me a bit of inspiration. Since I also like to share a bit of music whenever I can I watched a documentary the other night about a singer songwriter from Detroit that I had never heard of. But he turned out to be an inspiration for a lot of people in South Africa during the Apartheid years. He gained a great deal of fame in that area of the world while he lived close to poverty in Detroit. Really great story. His name is Sixto Rodriguez.
