Wandering by the Canal Downtown #Dartmouth

As you may have noticed I have been spending a bit of time wandering around Downtown Dartmouth lately. I love my bike route heading across the bridge and riding along the waterfront. In my opinion it is the best kept secret in Halifax, the views are wonderful and you see the city in a new perspective. On this trip I took a break by the Shubenacadie Canal, which used to run throughout Downtown Dartmouth but was covered up by roads in the 1950’s. Right by the new Kings Wharf Development there is a nice section that wasn’t covered in a park setting, surrounded by new condos and old industry. A nice contrast for someone who appreciates an urban atmosphere.
